We are very pleased to announce that James Thomas has been awarded the second Balearic Islands Doctoral Studentship (2020-2023).
James holds an M.Phil in French/Occitan Studies from Bristol University and an MA in Translation at Exeter University, specializing in Catalan. He is a well established translator from Spanish, Catalan and Occitan.
His PhD will focus on Anglophone translation and reception of Catalan during the 19th century.
