Our new Language Teaching Assistant Isabel Crespí has just started work at Queen Mary and has already taught her first classes.
Isabel was recently awarded her doctorate from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Her supervisor was Dr. Gemma Rigau, a well-known member of the Institut d’Estudis Catalans. Isabel’s research focuses on Catalan syntax and linguistic variation in Romance languages.
Originally from Mallorca, Isabel is delighted to be joining Queen Mary, although it is not the first time she has been here. She gave a presentation at the 2019 Annual Meeting of the Linguistics Association of Great Britain here at Queen Mary in September last year.
