Centre for Catalan Studies

As well as Catalonia, Catalan is used officially in Andorra, France (Roussillon), Sardinia (l’Alguer), Valencia and the Balearic Islands (Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera).

The Centre for Catalan Studies is the only university centre in the United Kingdom dedicated to research into the culture of all areas where Catalan is spoken. The Centre for Catalan Studies provides a London base for visiting researchers outside the UK and also runs the Balearic Islands Doctoral Studentship.
