More than 50 people, including Catalan students from 16 different universities across the United Kingdom and Ireland, participated in a panel discussion on the Catalan film Suro yesterday. They had been able to watch the film thanks to an activity organised by Institut Ramon Llull in conjunction with the universities of Sheffield, Bristol, Cardiff, Glasgow, and Liverpool.
Catalan students at Queen Mary University of London were also invited to take part in this panel discussion. Some of them asked very interesting questions to Mikel Gurrea, the director of the film, and Pol López, the leading actor, who answered in great detail during the bilingual event in which students could also put their knowledge of Catalan to the test.
